By joining the Salla ecosystem, you can reach a growing ecommerce market, offer your services directly to merchants, and monetize your solution through app subscriptions and usage-based services. Salla's Communication Apps framework makes it easy to connect your platform to merchant stores and automate message delivery based on store events and customer actions.

This guide walks you through the complete process of creating a Communication App using the Salla Partners Portal. You'll learn how to configure your app, set up supported communication channels, and connect store events that trigger messages. By the end of this guide, you'll be ready to launch your communication solution on Salla and start serving merchants across the platform.

To start, login to Salla Partners App and click on My Apps menu item

This will redirect you to the My Apps page where you can display the Apps linked to your account and create a new App.

Create communication App

Create a communication App by clicking on + Create New App, this will open the Create App form where you can choose the App type. Choose the Public App type then click on Continue

You will be redirected to the Create App page where you can fill in the App details.

Fill in the basic app information and choose the Communication App Category.

After completing the form click on the Create App button.

This will take you to the App Details page where you can fill in the App details, follow this article for a step-by-step guide.

Set up SMS Communication App

After creating the communication app you will need to set it up according to the SMS App needs, scroll down to the Store Events in Webhooks/Notifications section and click on Add Events.

A pop-up page will display the Store Events list, here you can click on the Communication event and choose the Communication Sms Send event then click Save.

After that scroll further down to the Supported Feature section and click on the Supported Feature button.

Then choose the features supported by your App and click Save.

  • Set the Store Events and choose Communication Sms Send

  • Set up the supported features and choose either or both Local or International Sms

Set up Email communication App

After creating the communication app you will need to set it up according to the SMS App needs, scroll down to the Store Events in Webhooks/Notifications section and click on Add Events.

A pop-up page will display the Store Events list, here you can click on the Communication then tick the Communication Email Send option. 

After that scroll further down to the Supported Feature section and click on the Supported Feature button.

Then choose the features supported by your App and click Save.

  • Set the Store Events and choose Communication Email Send

  • Set up the supported features and choose Email

Set up Whatsapp communication App

After creating the communication app you will need to set it up according to the SMS App needs, scroll down to the Store Events in Webhooks/Notifications section and click on Add Events.

Then choose the features supported by your App and click Save.
